Jefferson probably acquired this book on his marriage to Martha Skelton, the sister-in-law of Reuben.
Luigi Riccoboni, 1674-1738, Italian actor and author. The original
French edition of this work was published in Paris in 1738. The translator into
English, whose identity is not known, dedicated his work to Charles Fleetwood.
