early hand. On the fly-leaf is the signature of Robert Lewes, May 23, 1756, with a portion of the inscription torn away. With the Library of Congress

Basil Kennett, 1674-1715, miscellaneous writer, was the younger brother of Bishop White Kennett (see no. 472). His
Romae Antiquae Notitia, dedicated to the Duke of Gloucester, was first published in 1696 and passed through many editions.
