Caroline Amelia Elizabeth, queen consort of George IV, 1768-1821. The work has been ascribed to Spencer Perceval, 1762-1812, English statesman, from
the paragraph in the advertisement to the second edition:
. . . the publisher conceives that he is merely performing an act of justice in delivering to the world a genuine and unmutilated
copy of the suppressed book, as it was printed by him in the year 1807, under the direction of the late Mr. Perceval.
Samuel Pleasants printer, publisher, and bookdealer in Richmond, Virginia, was also the publisher of several newspapers.
