Louis Dutens, 1730-1812, French writer, spent a great part of his life in England, and became a Fellow of the Royal Society. While in England he took orders, and in 1758 was appointed chaplain and secretary to the English minister at the court of Turin. He later returned to Turin as chargé d’affaires. He died in London.
