Henry Dodwell, 1641-1711, famous scholar, theologian, and non-juror, was born in Dublin of English parents. The work referred to in this title is An epistolary Discourse, proving from the Scriptures and the first Fathers, that the Soul is a Principle naturally mortal, but immortalized actually by the pleasure of God, first printed in London in 1706. Several clergymen wrote answers in addition to Samuel Clarke.
